- Beat one egg with a little salt until loose and runny. 2. Pour it onto a flat plate and lay the bread slices in it. 3. After 5–10 minutes, flip the slices so both sides soak up the egg. 4. Beat the second egg until runny. 5. Stir in the cheese, grated on the fine side of a box grater. 6. Add the finely minced garlic and chopped herbs. 7. Add the dried spices if you like, and mix everything together. 8. Set the soaked bread slices in a well-heated, oiled skillet. 9. Spoon the cheese-and-egg mixture onto each slice. 10. Cover with a lid and fry until the underside of the toast is golden brown. 11. Flip and fry until the top is golden as well. Enjoy!
