Step-by-step cooking
To start, prepare orange oil. In a container, whisk all the ingredients until the mixture is homogeneous and very airy.
Then knead the dough, we will do it very elegantly and beautifully. Sift flour, salt and baking powder into a bowl, mix with powder and make a recess in the middle. We take another bowl, mix the egg with milk there and pour it into the recess. After mixing all this, we get a liquid dough.
Now heat up the frying pan, pre-greasing it with fat. Pour the dough onto the surface with a dessert spoon and fry for about 3 minutes (if the underside is browned, feel free to turn it over). On the other side, fry for a little more than a minute.
Serve Scottish pancakes warm with orange oil.
