- Just thinking about pork ribs is enough to work up an appetite. Serve them for a weekday dinner, for breakfast, or for supper and your family won't be able to thank you fast enough. And if you set these Korean-style pork ribs in front of guests, they'll be telling friends and coworkers about them for ages. Today we're making a recipe that has wowed a lot of people: steamed pork ribs with soybeans. First, chop the pork ribs into 1-inch (3 cm) pieces. Marinate them for two hours in a mixture of soy sauce (Sen Soy marinade), salt, MSG, wine, sugar, finely chopped onion, ginger, ground pepper, and 50 ml (about 3 tablespoons) of water. Soak the soybeans in warm water and let them stand for a day (75 g of dry beans yields about 300 g soaked). Stir the starch into cold water and let it settle, then drain off the water and mix the starch into the ribs, blending well. Combine the soybeans with the marinated ribs. Divide into bowls and steam for about two hours. Take a little more starch and stir in half the wine called for; mix thoroughly so the meat gets a thin coating of sauce. In another bowl, combine leek with garlic, cilantro, cucumber, the remaining wine, MSG, sugar, salt, and broth. Heat oil in a pan over high heat; as soon as you see a wisp of smoke, add the meat and stir-fry until cooked through. Drain off the oil, return the pan to the heat, and pour in the seasoning mixture. Stir well several times, drizzle with sesame oil, transfer the ribs to a platter, and serve. Enjoy!
