Cooking method
- Here's how we make it. Grab a large baking sheet (a deep skillet works too). Lay pieces of pounded meat — chicken or pork — across it, and don't forget to grease the sheet with vegetable oil so the meat doesn't stick. Season this layer with salt and pepper. Next, add a layer of onion cut into rings, then thin rounds of raw potato on top. Slice everything nice and thin so the potato cooks through. Spread a layer of mayonnaise, then add tomato rounds, sprinkle with cheese, and top with more mayonnaise. Don't skimp on the mayo, or the dish will come out dry — you can even brush a little between each layer. You can also repeat the layers a few times for a taller, more layered bake. Put it in an oven preheated to 400°F (200°C) for 20 to 25 minutes. This French-style pork will win over every guest at the table. Enjoy!
