  • How do you make chicken breast Stroganoff with sour cream?
    1. Rinse the chicken and cut it lengthwise into thin strips. 2. Add the chicken to a hot skillet with vegetable oil to fry. 3. While the chicken cooks, peel the onions and cut them into half-rings. Stir the chicken now and then. 4. Once the chicken is browned, add the onion and fry for a few minutes. 5. Meanwhile, make the sauce: stir the flour, mustard, and tomato paste into the sour cream and mix well. 6. When the onion is golden, add the sauce. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Stir well, cover, and simmer everything until done, about 10 minutes over medium heat. Serve the Stroganoff hot with your favorite side or on its own. Enjoy!
  • Every oil is good only up to a certain temperature — its smoke point, where it starts to burn and forms toxic compounds, including carcinogens. To learn how to gauge frying temperature and choose the best oil for the job (and which ones to skip entirely), read more here.
