Amazing Lobio in 15 Minutes
A tasty, simple dish that even a kitchen beginner can pull off! What's great about this recipe is that it comes together fast, yet tastes like it simmered for two days. Serve it with flatbread or lavash.
Cooking method
-
Step 1:
Pour the canned red beans into a heavy pot, add 2 cups of tomato juice, then chop the walnuts as fine as you like, add them to the pot with the beans, and cook over high heat.
-
Step 2:
Meanwhile, slice the onion into rings and sauté it in vegetable oil in a separate skillet; once it's ready, add the onion to the pot with the lobio. Add the spices — 2 teaspoons of khmeli-suneli and 1/2 teaspoon of dried pomegranate — stir well, and leave it over low heat. As with classic lobio, chop the cilantro and stir it in too, then mix again and season with salt to taste.
