Step-by-step cooking
Step 1:
How to make hot sandwiches with tomatoes, sausage and cheese in the oven? Prepare the products. You can take any bread — wholegrain, toast, and gray. I wouldn't experiment with rye, there are many other recipes for it. Sausage will also go any — ham, boiled, smoked, even sausages will do. Instead of ketchup, you can use mayonnaise or not spicy mustard.
Step 2:
Before cooking, immediately turn on the oven to warm up — while you are cutting food and making a sandwich, it will warm up. Set the temperature to 180 ° C. Wash the tomato, dry it and cut it into thin slices. I took a medium-sized tomato, its slices came out just the width of a piece of loaf. If you have a large tomato, then cut each slice into halves. You can also use cherry tomatoes, they will need to be cut into cubes.
Step 3:
Grate the cheese on a fine grater, so it will melt more accurately and faster. When choosing cheese for hot sandwiches, the main criterion is how well it melts. Try also to take a natural product, without milk fat substitutes.
Step 4:
Take slices of a loaf, spread each with a small amount of ketchup (mayonnaise, mustard). Make a very small layer so that the bread crumb does not get wet.
Step 5:
Put slices of sausage on the bread. I took the ready-made slicing, you can cut the sausage yourself. If the slices are very thin, then you can put several at once, it will taste better. It is better to grate the sausages on a coarse grater so that they do not fall off the piece.
Step 6:
Arrange the tomato slices on top. I got at the rate of two slices per sandwich.
Step 7:
Sprinkle each sandwich with grated cheese.
Step 8:
Take a baking sheet, cover it with baking paper. You can cook sandwiches without it, but the baking sheet will not get dirty with paper. I took a silicone mat. Put the sandwiches on it.
Step 9:
Bake the sandwiches for 10 minutes, until the cheese melts. Remove the finished sandwiches from the oven, cool slightly and serve. Determine the exact time and temperature of baking according to your oven. Enjoy your meal!
Choose juicy tomatoes, but dense. Soft fruits do not keep their shape well, in the process of slicing and cooking they will spread into a shapeless mass and spoil the appearance of the dish.
Keep in mind that everyone's ovens are different. The temperature and cooking time may differ from those specified in the recipe. To make any baked dish successful, use useful information about the features of ovens !
So that the oven has time to heat up to the desired temperature, turn it on in advance (10-20 minutes before the start of cooking).
