Cooking method
We start cooking by taking out the puff pastry to defrost. In addition, we turn on the oven to warm up to 200 degrees Celsius. And at this time we are engaged in stuffing! We do this:
1. Chicken breasts are thoroughly washed under running water, after which we lightly dry them with paper towels. Next, we put the chicken meat on a cutting board and finely cut into cubes. We put the meat in a bowl.
2. My leek and bell pepper. Cut the peppers in half, cut out the stems, clean the seeds from the peppers. After the leek and the prepared bell pepper are finely diced. Add the chopped vegetables in a bowl to the chicken breast and mix.
3. Three grated hard cheese.
4. In a bowl with vegetables and chicken, add sour cream, grated cheese, mix. Then salt and pepper (pepper is better to grind immediately before adding - so the baking will be many times more fragrant), mix everything well again. Salt and pepper are added to taste, so do not hesitate to try :) And if necessary, add a little more salt and pepper.
5. The puff pastry that has had time to melt is spread on the work surface, lightly dusted flour. Roll out the dough into a large layer. For convenience, it can be cut in half.
6. In a small bowl, break the egg and beat it with a fork or whisk.
7. Evenly distribute the filling along the top side of each sheet of dough, then carefully fold the sheets into a roll. We lubricate the edges with beaten egg and "glue" them to the rolls. Then we cut the rolls into pieces.
8. Each resulting puff is smeared on all sides with beaten egg and sprinkled with sesame seeds.
9. We spread the future puffs on a baking sheet covered with baking paper and put it in the oven for 40 minutes. It may take a little more or a little less time - it all depends on the oven.
Ready-made puffs must be served to the table with fervor from the heat until the cheese is frozen.
Bon appetit and delicious pastries!
