Step-by-step cooking
Step 1:
This simple dish requires a minimum of products: garlic arrows, cream cheese and salt. One of them, however, is seasonal–these are garlic arrows, and you can hardly find them in the store. But in the summer they can be prepared for the future by grinding on a food processor and freezing in the freezer. That will allow you not to deny yourself this healthy dish in winter. Garlic cloves, unfortunately, are not suitable as an alternative to garlic arrows, neither in taste nor in color.
Step 2:
If the garlic is whole, then they should be rinsed under running water, twisted in a meat grinder or processed in a food processor. If an already frozen preparation of garlic arrows is used, then it remains only to combine them with cream cheese, add salt to taste and mix thoroughly. We put the resulting mass in a glass jar and put it in the refrigerator overnight. It will become more dense, it will be well soaked and the excess bitterness will disappear.
Step 3:
If desired, you can replace cream cheese with cottage cheese mixed with cream, the taste will be different, more tender and less spicy. You can serve such a spread simply with rye or wheat bread to hot or soup, with a flatbread. And you can supplement sandwiches with sausage, ham with this garlic spread, smearing bread with it, and putting, for example, a piece of meat and cheese on top. It turns out very piquant, fragrant and delicious.
Step 4:
In addition, thanks to such a bright and delicate green color, this snack will not go unnoticed on your table. And men will appreciate it as a wonderful addition to strong drinks. Bon appetit!
