Step-by-step cooking
Step 1:
How to make delicious caramelized pears in a frying pan? First, prepare the necessary ingredients according to the list. Choose dense pears, not soft ones. Soft pears will quickly boil and lose their shape. I have Abbot pears. And you try to suit your taste. You can add a cinnamon stick to the caramel for flavoring (step 4). I have a creamy liqueur, But you can have any other liqueur, wine or non-alcoholic syrup to your taste. Or don't add anything at all.
Step 2:
First prepare the caramel. Add sugar to the pan and melt over low heat until light golden brown. This process is long, 10-15 minutes for sure, so you need to be patient. There is no need to mix the mass, because the sugar will stick to the spatula and gather into dense lumps, which will then be difficult to break. The maximum that can be done is to move the pan up and down without taking it off the stove.
Step 3:
When the sugar melts and acquires a light golden color, add the butter and mix the mass until smooth. Everything needs to be done over low heat.
Step 4:
When all the oil has dissolved and the mass comes to a boil again, pour in the liquor with constant stirring, followed by hot water. Bring the mixture to a boil again, stirring constantly. Boil the caramel syrup at a low boil for about 5-7 minutes so that the excess water evaporates and the syrup thickens slightly. The mass should be homogeneous, fluid, and of a beautiful golden hue.
Step 5:
While the syrup is cooking, prepare the pears. Wash them and peel them. If there is a tail, leave it.
Step 6:
Cut each pear in half lengthwise and remove the seeds. To give stability, you can cut off the bottom of the pears a little. If desired, cut another additional pear in the widest part into 3 circles about 1 cm thick.
Step 7:
Put the prepared pears in the syrup and simmer for about 10 minutes, turning them over periodically. The pears should become soft, and the caramel syrup should thicken a little more.
Step 8:
Remove the pears from the caramel syrup and cool. Put a circle of pears in the middle of each plate. Place 2 halves of pears on it. Pour the remaining syrup from the frying pan over the pears themselves. If desired, caramel can be additionally boiled to a strong density and a darker color.
Step 9:
If desired, add a little berry sauce to the dessert. Decorate the dessert with fresh berries, mint and serve to the table. Bon appetit!
Caramelized pear will appeal to both children and adults!
Since the degree of salinity, sweetness, bitterness, sharpness, acid, burning is individual for everyone, always add spices, spices and seasonings, focusing on your taste! If you put some of the seasonings for the first time, then keep in mind that there are spices that it is especially important not to shift (for example, chili pepper).
