Step-by-step cooking
Step 1:
Products that will be required for the recipe.
Step 2:
Let's prepare the brine: pour water into a saucepan, add sugar and salt and put it to boil. When our brine boils, we lower the bay leaves and allspice. Cook, stirring, for about three minutes. Then turn off the fire and let the brine brew on the stove and cool down slowly there.
Step 3:
We proceed to the preparation of cabbage ourselves. We clean it, cut each head into eight parts, remove the stalks, but so that the leaves do not fall apart.
Step 4:
Peel the garlic and cut it into slices.
Step 5:
Cut the beets into thin semicircles.
Step 6:
Take an enameled bucket or glass jars, put cabbage, crushed garlic and beets in them.
Step 7:
And pour the cooled brine. Sterilize the jars for at least 15 minutes, then roll up. And the bucket, having crushed the cabbage with a load, we put it in a cool dark place for three days.
Step 8:
It turned out very tasty. I eat with pleasure and wait for guests to treat them.
