Smoking mackerel in the husk

Cook the fish in a golden marinade! It's unusually delicious! Yesterday we enjoyed "smoked" mackerel in onion husks. This, of course, does not replace the usual smoked mackerel, but the taste is incredible! And the fish looks delicious. Cook and make sure that this cooking method gives an amazing result!

Cooking method

Cooking time: 3 h

To cook mackerel, you need a marinade. To do this, pour water into a saucepan, salt, and also add onion husks, bay leaf, sugar and coriander. We send the pan to the fire and, after the marinade boils, cook for 7 minutes.

We cut up the fish: cut off the head, clean out the insides, rinse under running water. We divide the carcass into 2-3 pieces depending on its size and put it in the ready marinade.

After 2 hours, the mackerel will be ready to eat.

Serve the fish cold, so be sure to keep it in the refrigerator for 20-30 minutes before serving.

Bon appetit!
