Step-by-step cooking
Step 1:
How to make a salad with smoked sausage and cheese? Prepare all the necessary ingredients. Sausage and cheese will suit any, choose according to your taste. Immediately discard the canned corn in a colander so that all the liquid goes away and the salad does not become watery.
Step 2:
Take a large bowl in which all the ingredients will fit and it will be convenient to mix them. Grate the cheese into it on a coarse grater.
Step 3:
Remove the packaging from the sausage and cut into strips.
Step 4:
Peel and rinse the carrots. It is best to wash with a brush or a hard sponge under running water. Grate on a grater for Korean carrots or, like me, cut into strips, like sausage.
Step 5:
Peel, wash and chop garlic in any way convenient for you. I skipped through the press.
Step 6:
Then add canned corn to the bowl with all the ingredients.
Step 7:
Mix well until smooth. Before serving, season the salad with mayonnaise. And, if necessary, season with salt and pepper. I have enough salinity and sharpness of mayonnaise, so I don't add salt or pepper. Serve the salad in a large salad bowl or in portions, you can decorate with corn and herbs.
It is better to prepare mayonnaise yourself. It will be tastier and healthier. See here interesting
recipes for homemade mayonnaise.
Also, as a dressing, you can use not only mayonnaise, but also sour cream or natural yogurt. They can be taken separately or mixed with mayonnaise in any proportion to your taste - this will reduce the calorie content of the dish.
How to buy canned corn correctly? Be sure to check the expiration date on the jar. If the container is glass, carefully consider the grains. They should be the same size and color, solid and spotless. The composition should not contain dyes, preservatives and flavor enhancers.
If you plan to prepare this salad in advance, so as not to spoil the taste, chop the garlic and add it together with mayonnaise before serving.
