Composition / ingredients
Step-by-step cooking
Step 1:
How to make a simple pizza dough? Prepare the ingredients. It is better to boil the water and cool it to room temperature. If desired, instead of boiled water, you can take filtered water, milk, kefir or whey. In Italy, durum wheat flour is used for pizza. If you don't have one, try to buy one that is not bleached and has a high gluten content. The quality of the dough and the taste of the finished pizza will depend on this.
Step 2:
Sift wheat flour into a deep bowl. Flour must be sifted and preferably more than once. Firstly, this will saturate the flour with oxygen, make it lighter and more airy, the dough is obedient and elastic, and the products made from it are delicious and soft. Secondly, this will avoid foreign objects that may be in a pack of flour getting into the dough.
Step 3:
In a separate bowl, beat the chicken eggs, add salt and whisk them with a fork or whisk until a homogeneous mixture is obtained, the egg white should completely disperse, mix with the yolk. Add water to the same place, mix until smooth.
Step 4:
Pour the egg mixture and vegetable oil into a bowl with flour (you can make a recess and pour everything into the resulting hole) and knead the dough, first with a spoon, then with your hands, so that it turns out homogeneous in consistency. If required, you need to add a little sifted wheat flour.
Step 5:
We spread the dough on the work surface covered with flour and continue to knead it with our hands, adding flour if necessary. Each manufacturer has a different quality and density of flour, so the amount of flour required for kneading the dough may change up or down. Focus primarily on the consistency: the dough should turn out elastic and smooth, quite dense, but amenable to rolling out into a thin layer (about 5 mm)
Step 6:
The dough is ready. You can proceed to the preparation of the pizza filling and its baking or frying. This dough is better suited for cooking pizza in a frying pan, but in the oven with this dough you will get a delicious homemade pizza. Bon appetit!
I recommend sifting a little more flour, and taking a little less for kneading than indicated in the recipe, adding the remaining sifted flour if necessary, achieving the desired consistency of the dough. To avoid mistakes, read
about flour and its properties!
Pizza on this dough with such additives as sausage, cheese, mushrooms makes such pastries not only very tasty, but also satisfying. Pizza can not only be served with tea, but it can replace a full lunch or dinner with it.
