To prepare this delicious drink, you need to choose a ripe fruit, the peel of which will be smooth, beautiful, shiny, without stains and damage. Ripe fruit can also be identified by its pleasant strong aroma.
So, the broomstick is selected. Now you need to wash it with warm water with a sponge. We do this carefully to wash off the preservative from the peel. It is applied to all citrus fruits so that the fruit does not spoil longer during transportation and in stores. We wipe the washed fruit with a paper towel.
Remove the peel from the pomelo - only a color layer, without white. It is convenient to do this with a special knife or a vegetable peeler. You can also use an ordinary knife, but in this case you will have to show dexterity and spend a little more time. We put the zest in a container in which the drink will be infused.
Add sugar to the container to the zest. Squeeze the juice from the pomelo (and you need to take only a fourth part of the fruit), add it too to the sugar and zest. Pour vodka on top of everything, mix and seal the container tightly.
We remove the container in a dark place, keep it at room temperature for a month. Once a week (and, if possible, twice), we vigorously shake the container.
When time passes, the tincture should be filtered through gauze folded in several layers. At this stage, you need to taste the drink and add more sugar if you want more sweetness. By the way, add water, if you need a not so strong drink, you also need it now.
Pour the tincture into beautiful bottles, close them tightly, put them away for permanent storage in the cellar (a cool place).
