In order for a drink prepared at home to resemble a real cola in appearance, you need to do this:

1. Pour 1 tablespoon of water into a small saucepan.
2. Add 5 tablespoons of sugar.
3. Put the pan on the stove and heat it over low heat, not forgetting to stir constantly.
4. When all the lumps disperse, the sugar begins to melt and turns dark brown, pour 1 cup of hot water.
5. Turn up the heat and boil the contents of the pan for half a minute.

With the help of the resulting caramel, we will color the future drink. Now you can go directly to it. So, the procedure will be as follows:

1. Wash the oranges, lemon and lime thoroughly and carefully remove the zest from them with a fine grater.

2. Peel the fruits and squeeze the juice out of them.

3. In a saucepan of a suitable size, pour water (1 liter), put the zest, sugar, coriander, cinnamon and nutmeg. Mix everything well.

4. Bring the mixture to a boil, then cook for another 1 minute.

5. Remove the pan from the heat and add the squeezed juices, vanilla extract and caramel prepared for coloring to its contents.

6. 2 tablespoons of natural coffee pour 150 ml of boiling water and let the liquid infuse for 10 minutes. Strain and pour the coffee into the syrup.

7. Wait until the syrup cools down and put it in the refrigerator overnight. The next day, strain.

Homemade cola is ready. Half of the glass is filled with syrup, then it is topped up with soda. Before serving, you can add ice. By the way, if you don't drink coffee, you don't have to put it in. Bon appetit!
