Tartines with Grapes
A quick, light snack that looks striking on the table. For various holidays I usually make full sandwiches and tartlets. Sometimes canapés. But I only heard about tartines recently. They're basically the same as canapés, but lower and without skewers — still a one-bite treat. Tartines can be sweet or savory. Since I had a wheel of brie on hand, I decided to make them with it. I made two kinds — grape-and-brie and apple-and-walnut. I'm posting the first version now and will share the second a bit later.
Cooking method
-
Step 1:
Gather the ingredients.
-
Step 2:
Cut the crusts off the bread. Cut the crumb into equal-sized squares.
-
Step 3:
Cut the brie into thin slices the same size as the bread squares.
-
Step 4:
Wash and dry the grapes, cut them into quarters, and remove the seeds.
-
Step 5:
Lay a slice of brie on each bread square.
-
Step 6:
Arrange the grape quarters on top. If you like, drizzle the tartines with liquid honey. Garnish with curly parsley.
