Cooking method

    Take a large enamel basin and cut 3 kilograms of well-washed fresh apples into rough medium pieces.

    Pour 300 ml of water over the chopped apples and set the basin on the stove.

    Cover the basin, turn the heat to just above medium, and bring the apples to a boil, stirring two or three times along the way.

    After 20 minutes, stir the apples, cover again, and keep cooking another 15 minutes.

    Take the basin off the heat and blend the apples until smooth.
