Canned Red Bean Soup with Bell Pepper

A tasty, hearty bean soup in 15 minutes! This soup takes hardly any prep and comes together very fast. The one thing it needs is a ready broth, which you can make the day before.

    Strain the cooked broth (2.5–3 liters) and cut the beef into pieces.

    Prep the vegetables: cut everything into sticks.

    Sauté the onion until translucent.

    Add the potatoes to the boiling broth and season with salt.

    Add the carrot, bay leaf, and a clove of garlic crushed with a knife to the onion. Sauté until golden and season with pepper.

    Add the bell pepper and sauté for another 2 minutes. If you like it spicy, add a little chopped hot pepper.

    Add the tomato wedges and cook for another minute. Remove the garlic and bay leaf. If you like, stir in some tomato paste and fry it briefly.

    When the potatoes are almost done, add the canned beans to the broth.

    Chop the fresh herbs and add them to the soup.
