  • You can use rice you've cooked earlier or cook it fresh for this appetizer. Jasmine rice is easy to make: first rinse it several times until the water runs completely clear, not cloudy. Then add water in a 1:2 ratio and set it over the lowest heat. Cook for 10–15 minutes from the moment it boils, then leave the cooked rice covered for another 10 minutes to steam. That's it — now measure out what you need for the appetizer. 1. Drain the oil off the cod liver; you won't need it here. Put the liver on a paper towel or in a strainer and let the oil drip off, then pat it dry and cut it into small pieces. 2. Put the eggs in a saucepan, cover with water, and set over the heat. Cook for 6–7 minutes from the moment they boil, then transfer them to a bowl of cold water to cool. Once cooled, peel and dice them. 3. Peel the onion and cut it into thin strips — this recipe uses red shallots. 3. Wash and dry the apples, then cut them into thin slices. Go for juicy, sweet-tart apples; ones that are too soft won't work well. 4. Put the cooked jasmine rice in a bowl. Add the krill meat, cod liver, chopped shallot, and eggs. 5. Dress everything with the yogurt, season with salt and pepper to taste, and mix. Use plain classic yogurt with no fillers or flavorings; you can swap in mayonnaise if you prefer. 6. Spoon the mixture onto the apple slices, garnish with fresh herbs, and serve right away. Enjoy!
