Berry Purée Gummy Candies

Gummy candies aren't just for kids — grown-ups love them too! These childhood-favorite gummies are easy to make at home with gelatin and berry purée. Sure, they won't keep as long as the store-bought kind, but I know exactly what's in them: real ingredients, no chemicals, plus they're wholesome and full of vitamins!

    1. Pick over the berries; if they're frozen, thaw them first. You can use any berries you like, one kind or several. Purée them by pressing through a sieve or blending. 2. Stir in the gelatin and let the purée sit for 15 minutes, then add lemon juice to taste. 3. Set the pan of purée over low heat, add the sugar, and cook, stirring occasionally, until the sugar and gelatin have fully dissolved. 4. Sprinkle the bottom of a baking dish with shredded coconut and pour in the finished mixture. Let it cool a little, then refrigerate until fully set. Cut into squares and dust with shredded coconut or powdered sugar.
