Raspberry Gummy Candies
Tasty, wholesome candies for little sweet tooths! The great thing about making candy at home is that there are no artificial dyes or flavorings. Gelatin is the thickener here, and the amount you use determines how firm the candies turn out. Keep them no more than 1 1/2 inches (3–4 cm) tall so they set faster. For coating, you can use sugar, powdered sugar, or shredded coconut.

- Dissolve the gelatin in water according to the package directions. Pick over the raspberries and press them through a sieve or purée them in a blender. Set a saucepan over low heat, pour in the gelatin water, and add the berries and sugar. Heat the mixture, stirring, but don't let it come to a boil. Once the gelatin and sugar have dissolved, strain it through a sieve. Pour it into small molds, or into a single square pan and cut it into pieces once the gelatin has set. After the mixture has cooled a bit, refrigerate it so the gelatin firms up. Then roll the candies in sugar and they're ready to serve!
