Corn Porridge for Kids in a Slow Cooker

Cook something healthy and tasty for the kids! A child's menu should be balanced and the dishes carefully chosen — and they should also be tasty and look appetizing. Here's one of the recipes I've been using for over a year: creamy corn porridge. The cornmeal cooks down nicely and turns soft when made in a slow cooker. Give it a try!

    1. Put the cornmeal in the slow cooker bowl and add the butter and sugar.
    1. Pour in the water and milk, and stir.
    1. Select the "Milk porridge" setting and set the cooking time to 35 minutes (the default is usually 1 hour, but that's too long, so adjust it).
  • Enjoy, kids — here's to your good health!
