- Cut the pork cheek into medium pieces so it cooks through and absorbs the salt well. Take the onion skins and rinse off any dirt and dust. Pour water into the slow cooker bowl, add salt, the onion skins, and of course the pieces of pork cheek. Cook for an hour. While it cooks, finely chop the garlic, put it in a bowl, and add both kinds of pepper plus the khmeli-suneli. Mix well. After an hour, add the onion and bay leaf to the cheek and cook for another two hours. When the time is up, take the meat out and let it cool, then put each piece in a bag and sprinkle it with the garlic and spice mix. Shake each bag well and put everything in the freezer. An hour later, the pork cheek is ready. Enjoy!
