- Toast the nuts in a dry skillet, then crush them. 2. Lightly toast the amaranth flour as well. 3. Mix the flour with the nuts. 4. Set the water to heat, add the sugar, and bring to a boil while stirring. 5. Take the syrup off the heat, stir in the vegetable oil, and add the vanillin. Mix well. 6. Add the nut-and-flour mixture to the syrup. Mix well again. 7. Grease the parchment with oil, spread the mixture onto it, and refrigerate until set. Enjoy with a cup of tea!
