Mix water, rice and salt in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to a minimum, cover with a lid and cook for 45-50 minutes until the liquid is completely absorbed by the rice.
Add milk, sugar, cinnamon and bring to a boil again. Cook, stirring constantly, for 10 minutes. Dilute rice starch in a tablespoon of milk and add to the pudding. Continue to cook, stirring constantly for another 10 minutes. Remove from heat.
Mash bananas in mashed potatoes, add vanilla and mix well. Carefully transfer the banana puree to the pudding. Put the pudding pan in the refrigerator for 2 hours.
 Before serving, put the rice pudding in bowls, decorate with banana slices and sprinkle with cinnamon.
