Hot Dog Soup with Potatoes and Cheese
A tasty, easy soup made from a few favorite ingredients :). There are days when you don't feel like coming up with anything fancy, but you still have to eat something. This is one of my go-to recipes — super simple, and almost everyone has the ingredients in the fridge already :)
Cooking method
-
Step 1:
The ingredients.
-
Step 2:
Rinse the carrot and slice it into rounds.
-
Step 3:
Peel the potatoes and cut them into rough pieces.
-
Step 4:
Peel and chop the onion.
-
Step 5:
Put all the vegetables in a pot, cover with water (about 1.5 liters / 6 cups, but go by your own preference for how thick or thin you want the soup), and cook until the vegetables are tender.
-
Step 6:
Cut the hot dogs into pieces — roughly, not too small.
-
Step 7:
Rinse the dill under running water and chop it.
-
Step 8:
When the vegetables are tender, season the soup with salt, add spices if you like (I like khmeli-suneli), stir in the processed cheese, and mix well until it melts.
-
Step 9:
Add the hot dogs.
-
Step 10:
Simmer for another 2 minutes, add the dill, and turn off the heat right away.
-
Step 11:
Enjoy!
