  • An ice cream maker helps you make incredibly fluffy, smooth ice cream at home. But there's one important step: you must freeze the ice cream maker's bowl before you start. So put the bowl in the freezer overnight — that's convenient. You can keep it in the freezer longer; depending on the model and brand, the time can range from 8 to 20 hours, but eight hours is the minimum. It's best not to skip this rule — then the ice cream will turn out great! So, the bowl is frozen. Now you can go straight to making the ice cream. Peel the bananas, cut them into large pieces, and put them in a blender. Add the sugar and powdered milk, then the vanilla extract (you can use more — go by your own taste). Blend everything to a smooth consistency with an immersion blender. Now pour in the milk; full-fat is best, ideally homemade, but lower-fat store-bought milk makes a delicious treat too. Blend everything again until all the ingredients are combined. The ice cream base is ready — time to take the bowl out of the freezer. Pour the base into the cold bowl and run the machine for 20 minutes. The time may vary slightly — read your ice cream maker's instructions carefully. When the time's up, the ice cream is ready. It comes out very airy, fluffy, smooth, practically melting before your eyes, and not too firm. You can eat it now, but if you'd like a firmer, more frozen result, that's easy: transfer it to a freezer container and freeze for 3-4 hours. You can also use special portion molds. After that, serve the treat garnished however you like — sprinkles, chopped nuts, grated chocolate. Enjoy!
