Roast Pork Sandwiches

Appetizing, nourishing breakfast sandwiches? Make them! Roast pork sandwiches — what could be simpler? Especially when you have very little time for breakfast and there's some homemade roast pork in the fridge along with a few greens and vegetables. You can use store-bought roast pork too — the sandwiches will still come out appetizing and delicious. You can experiment freely with the filling, changing up the vegetables and adding more or fewer greens.

  • These sandwiches are very quick and easy to make — you could call them one of the simplest breakfasts you can think of, and a very tasty one at that. Kids and teenagers especially love sandwiches for breakfast. But to avoid plain, boring sandwiches, here's a nicer take — simple, pretty, and delicious. Let's get started: 1. You can use any bread, but sandwich bread is best. Toast it in a toaster or in a dry skillet until it's a nice golden color. You'll need four slices total. 2. Wash the tomatoes, pat them dry, and cut them into rounds. 3. Cut the roast pork into slices. It's nice if it's homemade or farm-raised, but that's optional. 4. Wash the lettuce leaves and dry them with a paper towel. 5. Now assemble the sandwiches: spread the toasted bread with plain unsweetened yogurt — Greek yogurt works well; lay lettuce on the yogurt-spread bread, two leaves per sandwich; add a layer of sliced tomatoes; top with slices of roast pork (if the slices are thin, you can stack them); finish with the top slices of bread. 6. All that's left is to cut the assembled sandwiches in half, into two triangles. Serve the sandwiches with coffee or tea. You can also pack these as lunch — for school, university, or work, and even for a trip. Enjoy, and have an active day!
