Cooking method
-
Step 1:
Get the rice paper sheets ready.
-
Step 2:
Everything you'll need to make Güllaç.
-
Step 3:
Put the milk on the stove, bring it to a boil, and add sugar to taste.
-
Step 4:
Pour the slightly cooled milk into a shallow pan (I find that easiest) and lay a rice paper sheet into the hot milk. As the milk cools, top it up with more hot milk from the pot.
-
Step 5:
Let it soak until soft and pliable.
-
Step 6:
Spoon a filling of chopped walnuts onto it (mix in a little sugar if you like it very sweet).
-
Step 7:
Roll it up like a cabbage roll.
-
Step 8:
Arrange the rolls in a bowl.
-
Step 9:
Pour the remaining milk over the top.
-
Step 10:
Chill it in the refrigerator for a couple of hours, and enjoy!
- I adore this dessert—delicious and satisfying!
