"Capercaillie's Nest" Salad with Ham

  • First, cut the potatoes into thin matchsticks and fry them until crisp and golden, salting them at the end. Let them drain on paper towels. Dice the ham and pickles and put them in a roomy bowl. Hard-boil the eggs. Dice the chicken eggs and combine them with the rest of the ingredients. Add the Korean-style carrots. Season with salt and pepper and stir in the mayonnaise. Toss the salad, then mound it onto a platter in the shape of a nest. Surround the whole thing with the fried potato sticks. Nestle the quail eggs in the center. Garnish the edges with fresh dill. Enjoy!
