"Potato" Cakes from Cookies, No Condensed Milk

A quick no-bake treat that everyone, without exception, will love! My husband and I have a sweet tooth — that's just how it is :) So treats are often on our table. One of my favorites is "potato" cakes, which I make by my own unique recipe — without condensed milk! Even a child can make these, since it's all very, very simple.

  • The first thing you need to do is crush the cookies. You can do this in a blender, or use a rolling pin. I'm used to the old-fashioned way... So, put the cookies in a sturdy plastic bag and crush them with a rolling pin into a fine, fine crumb.
  • Put the butter in a bowl and melt it in the microwave.
  • Pour the crumbs into a large bowl, pour in the melted butter, and add the powdered sugar and cocoa.
  • Mix the ingredients, working them together well with a spoon. Shape the mixture into potato-shaped cakes.
  • On a saucer, mix sugar with cocoa powder and roll each "potato" in this mixture.
  • The cakes should be served chilled, so once the finished treats are on a plate, refrigerate them for at least half an hour.
  • Serve the treat with tea or coffee and enjoy!
