    Lay out the gherkins along the uncut side. Next we put the herring. The cut edges are smeared with oil so that the edges stick together. We close the baguette and wrap it well in plastic wrap. We send the baguette to the refrigerator. He should spend about 3 hours there.

Do not add mayonnaise to the filling. Otherwise, it will turn out to be too liquid.
