Cooking method
All peoples have food related to the history or legends of this holiday served to the table for every holiday. On Halloween we eat pumpkin. Firstly, because the pumpkin head "lamplighter Jack" is a symbol of the night before All Saints' Day, and secondly, because it is the time of collecting the last pumpkins from the beds. In short, we have a lot of pumpkins - we need to eat them.
The recipe for pumpkin cream soup with peanut butter should appeal to children. First, we cook the right amount of pumpkin and sweet potatoes. And turn them into a puree in a blender. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter, and gradually add pumpkin puree, sweet potatoes and peanut butter to it. Make sure that the peanut butter is smooth, without whole nuts. Pour the chicken broth, add salt and pepper, and mix everything very well until smooth. Bring to a boil, and reduce the heat. Cook for twenty minutes. We should get a luxurious cream soup of bright orange color.
Serve hot on the table. Sprinkle the soup with finely chopped green onions. We put sour cream separately.
