Herring under a fur coat roll

Enchanting, original and favorite salad with an interesting serving! This magical recipe for a fur coat roll, or a Roll under a fur coat, was thrown to me by a relative of my spouse, who loves herring under a fur coat very much, and asks me to cook it for all holidays-weekdays-weekends-walk-throughs.

So, first soak the gelatin in cold water for an hour. Meanwhile, boil the vegetables. Now you need to melt the gelatin in a water bath and cool it completely. Add mayonnaise and mix well. Boiled vegetables and cheese (NOT BOILED!) grate on a coarse grater. And now we put all the vegetables on different plates and mix them with mayonnaise. Do not mix the ingredients!
And, finally, the most interesting thing is to put a film or a bag on the cutting board.
We lay beetroot on top in layers according to the shape of the board, the next layer is slightly smaller – carrots, then potatoes, cheese and herring fillets. Each new layer should be smaller so that the edges of the previous layer are visible. Then carefully connect the edges of the film to make a roll.
We put the finished dish in the refrigerator to freeze. After a couple of hours, we take it out and cut it like a roll. We got something like the rolls "herring under a fur coat" or, as I call it, herring under a fur coat in New Russian.
