These delicious fried honey mushrooms are a real showstopper at the table! The smell of mushrooms brings back wonderful memories of the forest — hunting for mushrooms, the sunshine, the scent of leaves. I can't even put into words how much we love mushrooms! I never expected frozen honey mushrooms could deliver this kind of aroma and flavor. It's a simple, easy recipe, and you can serve the mushrooms cold as an appetizer or warm as a main.

  • Before cooking, rinse the mushrooms thoroughly under running water and boil them. Cut the boiled mushrooms however you like — small ones can be left whole. Peel, wash, and slice the onion into half-rings, not too thin. Fry the onion in a hot skillet until lightly golden. Turn down the heat, add the mushrooms to the onion, and fry over low heat until done — about thirty-five minutes. If you'd like the mushrooms saucier, add a splash of water while they cook; season with pepper and salt to taste. While the mushrooms fry, chop some fresh herbs for garnish. Transfer the mushrooms to a dish, scatter the herbs over the top, and serve. Enjoy!
