Cooking method

Step 1:
Cut the onion into rings about 4–5 mm (about 1/4 inch) thick.

Step 2:
Pin the onion rings together with toothpicks.

Put the onion in a bowl.

The marinade sauce.

Step 5:
Pour the sauce over the rings and let them marinate for 15–20 minutes. Longer is fine too — the flavor just gets richer.

Step 6:
Crack an egg into a bowl, beat it lightly, and add salt. Transfer the rings into the beaten egg.

Step 7:
Dredge each ring in breadcrumbs.

Step 8:
Lay the rings in a skillet with well-heated oil.

Step 9:
Fry the rings on both sides. If there's a lot of oil, set them on a paper towel to drain.

Step 10:
A really tasty and almost guilt-free dish is ready. Enjoy!
