Lean Fried Yeast Hand Pies in 15 Minutes

These dry-yeast hand pies are so tasty you won't manage to save any for dinner! And the fried lean version comes together fast. With a filling already made (any kind), it takes exactly 15 minutes from the moment you start the dough to the finished pies.

    The dough will be a little softer than regular yeast dough.

    Drizzle a little oil on the work surface and divide the dough into small balls.

    Then flatten the balls into rounds, starting with the first one you shaped so the dough has had a little time to rest and rise.

    Use any filling you like. Mine is boiled carrot and braised cabbage. Shred the cabbage, mix it with grated carrot, add the onion, and braise it all in vegetable oil until done. Season with salt and pepper.
