Cooking method

  1. Step 1:

    Step 1

Roll out the fondant, tinted in the color you like. Cut out rectangles with a knife, measuring out the width and size of the bow you want first. The number of pieces depends on how full you want the bow. Fold the edges as shown in the photo.

  2. Step 2:

    Step 2

    Like this.

  3. Step 3:

    Step 3

    Pinch the edges together.

  4. Step 4:

    Step 4

And pinch again. Set it on foil to dry so it holds its shape.

  5. Step 5:

    Step 5

I also cut and added ribbon tails at the bottom — same method — laying them on foil to get the shape we want. Oh, and a brooch: I formed a little circle, stuck on pieces of fondant in various shapes, and colored them different colors :) Assemble the bow. And to make it shine festively, mix honey and vodka in equal parts, take a brush, and enjoy the result.

  • You should start making decorations like this ahead of time, but since my fondant has butter in it, I started a week early — it won't have time to "age," and it'll have time to dry well without hardening to solid stone, since there's butter in it :) If you use store-bought fondant, it needs much less time, maybe a day — honestly, I haven't tried it, that's just what I've heard :) A lot depends on the size of the piece itself — the bigger it is, the more drying time it needs. Good luck with your creations and happy holidays!!!
