  • Here's a great recipe for beef with mushrooms and sesame — a delicious main that any fan of Chinese cooking will love. Rinse the meat, pat it dry, and cut it into thin strips. Make a marinade from soy sauce, lemon juice, red wine, cornstarch, ginger, and garlic put through a press. Pour it over the meat and refrigerate for 3 hours. Clean any fresh mushrooms and quarter them. Core and seed the bell pepper and cut it into strips. Coarsely chop the green onion. Heat a skillet with vegetable oil until very hot and stir-fry the beef until browned, then remove it. In the remaining oil, fry the mushrooms, then add the bell pepper and toss together. Fry for 3 minutes. Add the green onion and cook for another minute. Return the browned beef to the pan, pour in the marinade, and simmer for 4 minutes. To serve, sprinkle with sesame seeds and garnish with rings of chili pepper and chopped herbs. Beef with mushrooms and sesame pairs perfectly with steamed rice. Enjoy!
