    Mix all the dry ingredients: flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and sugar.

    In another bowl, beat the egg to a froth.

    Add the milk and mix.

    Add the dry flour mixture, mix everything together (I used a blender), and add the melted butter (or 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil). The batter will be on the thin side.

    Cook in a dry skillet until golden brown. You can spoon the batter on with a tablespoon or pour it from a squeeze bottle.
