Cooking method
Whisk the egg with sugar, salt, milk and vanilla essence.
Add flour mixed with baking powder. If there is no ready-made baking powder, then it can be replaced with ordinary soda, slaked with vinegar.
Mix until smooth. The finished pancake dough should resemble sour cream in consistency.
American pancakes are fried in a dry frying pan without oil. Under the lid! A Teflon-coated frying pan is best suited for this. If there is no such thing, then an ordinary frying pan with a thick bottom will do. One pancake needs 3 tablespoons of ready-made dough. Pour the dough into the middle of the pan and fry on low heat for 1-2 minutes. Don't twist the frying pan! These are not our Russian pancakes ...
Usually, such pancakes are watered with maple syrup, but it is difficult to find it in our city... That's why I ate with condensed milk. You can also eat with honey or jam.
