  • With this recipe you won't end up with an exact copy of the store-bought French Crêpeville cake, but you'll definitely get something very close. Best of all, it's delicious and falls squarely into the "quick and easy" category. Start by making the crêpes. You want yeast-free crêpes made with milk (an American-style pancake batter works well here). Open the can of condensed milk and pour it over softened butter in a mixing bowl. Beat with a mixer until you have a smooth, uniform cream. Choose a nice round serving plate to build your cake on. Spread each of the fifteen crêpes with the cream and stack them one on top of another. Coat the top as well, then sprinkle it in layers: first toasted walnuts, then grated chocolate, and finally powdered sugar. Instead of walnuts you can use another nut, such as hazelnuts.
