Stewed Cabbage with Rice and Potatoes
Kapustnyak — soup and main course in one dish! I love vegetables and I love this recipe: it's light, filling, and delicious!

Step 1:
How do you make stewed cabbage with rice and potatoes? Here's everything you'll need. To start, peel all the vegetables and cut them into whatever shapes you like.

Boil the rice until done.

And boil the potatoes until tender.

Put the onion and carrot in a pot or skillet and sauté over low heat for about 10 minutes.

Then shred the cabbage and add it to the onion and carrot. You can also stir in 1 tablespoon of tomato paste.

Next, add the potatoes and the cooked rice, plus the seasonings.

Simmer for 10–15 minutes (until everything is done to your liking).

And your kapustnyak is ready! If you'd like it more like a stew or soup, just add more water.
