Stewed cabbage with potatoes in a cauldron

1 Prepare and chop vegetables: carrots and sausage-cubes, cabbage-straws / not
thinly /, onion and potato cubes / medium /
2 Heat vegetable oil in a cauldron and fry in this order: carrots,
onion, sausage, potatoes, cabbage / in two passes to settle /.Add salt,
stirring so it doesn't burn.
3 As soon as the cabbage releases the juice, add a little hot water and dry seasonings,
cover loosely with a lid and reduce the heat to a minimum.Let it stew.
4 Stir, add salt to taste.When the potatoes are almost ready - add fresh
greens and bay leaf. Simmer until tender.
5 Turn off the heat and let it stand for another 10 minutes /the lid is loose/.
