Step-by-step cooking
Step 1:
To prepare caramel pears for dessert, you will need pears of any variety - you just need to select the cooking time - I have hard pears, sugar, butter and a little water.
Step 2:
Cut pears in half, and then into quarters - in fact, you can use any slicing, I analyzed a lot of recipes presented on the Internet: cut into halves, quarters and even slices - the smaller the slicing, the less time for dessert preparation. I chose the universal version with medium slicing. The main thing is not to finely chop soft juicy pears, otherwise you will get jam!
Step 3:
Put the pears in a frying pan no matter how - you will still have to turn them over repeatedly.
Step 4:
Add half a cup of water and cook the pears over medium heat, turning them from side to side periodically. I even held it under the lid a little - so that they boiled more evenly. It will take about 5-7 minutes to cook.
Step 5:
When the pears will be pierced with a fork, but still remain elastic, add butter.
Step 6:
Melt the butter by shaking the pan, the pears are lightly toasted - in fact, it is the sweet juice contained in them that is caramelized.
Step 7:
Add, scattering evenly over the pan, a tablespoon topped with sugar.
Step 8:
Put on the fire and let the sugar melt.
Step 9:
When the sugar is completely melted, cook some pears in it, shaking the pan. and add a little of the remaining water - boiling water, I added directly from the boiling kettle. Now cook the pears in the resulting sugar syrup until tender.
Step 10:
Drain the syrup at the end, and brown the pears a little more. Put the hot pears in creamers or serving plates.
Step 11:
Serve caramelized pears with ice cream, pouring the resulting caramel syrup.
Serve the pears in caramel with ice cream, pouring caramel syrup formed as a result of dessert preparation. It's very tasty, just lick your fingers (absolutely literally!).
