Step-by-step cooking

Cooking time: 30 min
  1. Step 1:

    Step 1.

Prepare the specified ingredients. Lavash is better to take Armenian, not brittle. If it is in one sheet, then you can take the whole, or two square sheets. For the filling, you can take products to your liking. I will cook with boiled sausage, fresh tomato, Russian cheese, pepper and dill. For the sauce, I take sour cream of 20% fat content and homemade tomato sauce, instead of sauce, you can take ketchup, mashed tomatoes, tomato paste. Do not replace sour cream with mayonnaise.

  2. Step 2:

    Step 2.

Turn on the oven to preheat to 180 degrees. Put a sheet of pita bread on the table. If there are two of them, then put them on top of each other. In a bowl, mix sour cream (put aside a tablespoon of sour cream), tomato sauce, add salt and other spices to taste. Also, for a little spice, you can add a spoonful of mustard. Mix the sauce thoroughly and spread evenly over the entire area of the pita bread, not reaching a few centimeters to the edge.

  3. Step 3:

    Step 3.

Grate the selected cheese on a coarse grater and spread evenly over the sauce on the pita bread. The amount of cheese and sausage to your liking can be increased or decreased.

  4. Step 4:

    Step 4.

Cut the sausage into cubes and spread evenly on top of the cheese.

  5. Step 5:

    Step 5.

Wash tomatoes, dry and cut into rings or half rings. Put the sliced tomato on top of the sausage.

  6. Step 6:

    Step 6.

Wash and dry the bell pepper. Cut the peppers into small squares and put them on top of the tomatoes.

  7. Step 7:

    Step 7.

Wash and dry the fresh dill greens. Chop the dill finely and sprinkle them evenly over the filling on the pita bread. You can take any other fresh greens to your liking.

  8. Step 8:

    Step 8.

Wrap the pita bread with stuffing, trying to roll the stuffing tighter. Place the roll on a baking dish (optionally covered with parchment or oiled) seam down. Grease the roll with set aside sour cream and put the form with stuffed pita bread in a preheated oven for 15 minutes or until golden brown.

  9. Step 9:

    Step 9.

Take the finished stuffed roll out of the oven and let it cool down a little. Cut the pita bread into pieces 2 - 3 centimeters thick. You can serve stuffed pita bread both hot and cold - in any form, this snack is very tasty and juicy.
