Step-by-step cooking
Step 1:
Prepare apples for baking, cottage cheese of any fat content (depending on the degree of dietary content of the dish), sugar, a little raisins. Apples should be winter, of perfect quality, smooth, without wormholes and spots, preferably green, with a dense skin and not too sweet.
Step 2:
Mash the cottage cheese with a fork, if it is dry, then you can add a little sour cream or melted butter. Add sugar and rub thoroughly. You can add a little honey if desired, vanilla sugar, ground cinnamon, nutmeg, ground ginger.
Step 3:
Add the raisins washed in hot water and dried to the curd filling. Mix it up.
Step 4:
Wash the apples, carefully cut off the tops-"caps". Very carefully, so as not to damage or pierce the peel, remove the core and a certain amount of pulp to form a certain place for the filling.
Step 5:
Fill the cavities tightly with the curd mass.
Step 6:
Cover with lids-"caps" and put in a preheated 180 degree oven and bake for about half an hour.
Step 7:
Apples should be slightly wrinkled, become soft, a certain amount of juice-syrup may be released. Ready-baked apples with cottage cheese must be removed, cooled and served to the table. You can supplement the dish with chopped nuts, mint leaves or lemon balm, pour chocolate topping, sprinkle with powdered sugar.
Delicious and healthy dish! Baked apples with cottage cheese in the oven can become an indispensable dish for fasting days.
Raisins can be replaced or supplemented with other dried fruits: prunes, dried apricots, figs. A very unusual and interesting combination can give a combination of cottage cheese and not coarsely chopped banana.
