Step-by-step cooking
Step 1:
Prepare in advance all the necessary ingredients for making teriyaki sauce. Now we take a frying pan with a thick bottom and put it to warm up over medium heat. Alternately, put the following ingredients in the pan: soy sauce, cane sugar, dried ginger and dried garlic.
Step 2:
Next, add wine vinegar, olive oil and honey to the already available ingredients.
Step 3:
During the cooking process, stir the sauce constantly with a wooden spatula, bringing it to a boil.
Step 4:
Take a small container or glass, pour in water and pour potato starch slowly. Mix everything well. Pour starch water in a thin trickle into the pan to the rest of the ingredients, mix and remove the pan from the heat.
Step 5:
Leave the teriyaki sauce to cool for a short time. This will take about 20 minutes. When the sauce cools down a little, carefully pour it into a small glass jar, close it tightly with a lid and put it in the refrigerator, where we store the prepared sauce.
Recipe Recommendations:
1.When preparing the sauce, it may remain liquid. Removing the pan from the heat and leaving it for 10 minutes, the sauce will continue to cook. When it cools down, it thickens. Also, the density of the sauce can be adjusted by adding more or less starch during its preparation.
2.When preparing the sauce, you can use not dry ginger and garlic, but fresh ones. This affects the taste of the sauce itself.
Why you should cook teriyaki sauce:
1.Its preparation will not take much time.
2.When served, this sauce will decorate and make any cooked dish incredibly appetizing. If, for example, you fry chicken or meat in this sauce, it will acquire an attractive caramelized crust.
3.Teriyaki sauce is universal, it will give any dish a special sweet and salty taste.
4.Cooked at home with love is always better than bought in a store.
