I recently arrived from Istanbul and I can't help but share a culinary recipe for an easy-to-prepare, but very useful, delicious and fragrant pasta. Mahammara can be spread on bread, or it can be used as a spicy sauce for kebabs, meat, fish, and any food.
First you need to peel the pepper from the seeds, stem and partitions, cut in half and put in the oven for 15 minutes at a temperature of about 180C.
While the peppers are cooking, pour olive oil into the pan and pass finely chopped onions and garlic cloves until golden brown. If you want the garlic to feel stronger in the finished dish, do not fry it, and then add it fresh.
We peel the finished pepper. Absolutely all the ingredients of the paste (except butter and onions) are loaded into a blender and crushed. Then add the fried onion and grind again. By the way, breadcrumbs can be replaced with breadcrumbs. It will be even tastier!
